Jake Started at South West Marquees in 2017 as a seasonal team member. His positive attitude and people skills quickly caught our eye for full time potential. Jake has taken on the role of assistant manager, working with Gabe both in the office, onsite and in the yard, helping the smooth running of the business. Jake spent a year learning our bespoke software systems that are all important in allowing us to run efficiently, he is now able to run our office when Natalie is busy elsewhere.
In our industry, experience is all important, when you speak to Jake on the phone you are speaking to someone who has spent 2 years erecting marquees, so really knows what he is talking about. Jake is a petrol-head and interested in mechanics, during our quiet season he serviced all 26 of our trailers in house. Running an event business is all about adaptability, so when we find an issue with one of our vehicles or trailers, we often need to fix it ourselves to keep the show on the road. Jake is rapidly learning to turn his hand to whatever is needed. we love how positive he always is when faced by a new challenge.
