South West Marquees is the premier marquee hire company in the South West with over 28 years’ experience setting up marquees for weddings, parties, festivals and events. We provide a wide range of equipment for a full package, servicing the events industry all year round. Primarily, our business is a happy place to work, made up of a team of staff some of whom have worked here for many years, from varying backgrounds. Unlike many roles in the events industry, we have tailored our work load to fit around a family life, so we are usually home by 5pm and try to keep out of hours work to a minimum. We are looking to add a new team member to the management role of our business. This would be a position for a person to run projects from start to finish, including the planning stage, meeting clients, right up to leading a team for final delivery. This is a very varied job as we work all year round on a range or projects in a range of locations. We also manufacture our own marquees in the winter when time allows.

This would suit someone who already has, or enjoys learning new skills in Material, Metal and Wood fabrication.


We currently delivery around 80 wedding packages per year, whilst also working on larger projects such as Boomtown Fair, Bristol Craft Beer Festival, and Charity work.


On the job training will be given, so we are looking for someone to join the team now in order to learn the processes ready for our busy summer season.


  • Leading teams on site ranging in size from 2-10
  • Communicating with Customers
  • Driving company vehicles
  • Loading and unloading Vehicles
  • Maintaining and cleaning equipment
  • Working on Projects during off seasons, building new furniture, repairing stock ready for our busy season.



  • Good People Skills (dealing with staff and customers)
  • Hard working and self-motivated
  • Legal entitlement to work in UK
  • Full UK Driving licence
  • Clean DBS record (requirement to work on site with some of our repeat clients)
  • Commitment to work some weekends during busy periods (April – Oct)
